The challenge
A hospital's critical-load circuits cannot tolerate interruption, even for milliseconds: operating theaters, life support, imaging, and medical gases all depend on power that never breaks. The project called for complete MV and LV infrastructure, designed and tested to clinical reliability standards, with automatic transfer and N+1 redundancy across every critical load.
The TEPCO scope
MV switchgear for primary distribution. BlokSeT LV switchboards with Form 4 separation across the main electrical rooms. Automatic transfer scheme integration with the hospital UPS and emergency generator systems. Full life-safety load segregation. Factory acceptance testing in Madinah, site acceptance testing, and clinical commissioning.
The outcome
The hospital operates today on TEPCO infrastructure. The MV and LV systems have run for years across the facility's full operational profile: peak summer cooling load, generator transitions, and the daily load swings of a working hospital. Form 4 separation means maintenance on one section never compromises another.
Engagement
Multi-phase delivery. FAT in Madinah, SAT on site, clinical commissioning.
