About TEPCO KSA

A Saudi manufacturer with four decades of MENA engineering behind it.

TEPCO KSA was founded in 2009 to bring the engineering heritage of TEPCO Group, operating across MENA since 1979, into the Kingdom under Saudi ownership, Saudi manufacturing, and Saudi compliance. Today we design and build low and medium voltage systems in Madinah for the utilities, oil and gas operators, and major project developers that power Vision 2030.

The heritage

From a Cairo engineering office to a Saudi manufacturing base.

TEPCO Group's story tracks the modernization of the MENA region's electrical grids: from the first locally produced ring main units in Egypt, through licensing partnerships with the world's leading switchgear designers, to a fully Saudi manufacturing base built for Vision 2030.

Group milestones, 1979 to today

  1. 1979

    TEPCO founded in Egypt

TEPCO is established in Cairo as a specialist in low and medium voltage distribution. Early licensing agreements with Felten & Guillaume and ALSTOM bring international switchgear technology into local production.

  2. 1980s

    First locally produced MV equipment

Egyptian utility type approvals validate locally manufactured 12 kV and 24 kV ring main units, transformer kiosks, and load-break switches, establishing TEPCO as a reference supplier.

  3. 2008–09

    Subsidiary expansion, TEPCO KSA founded

AEI and TEI subsidiaries are established for fabrication and insulators. In January 2009, TEPCO KSA is registered in Al Madinah Al Munawarah.

  4. 2012

    Schneider Electric partnership

TEPCO Advanced Industries (TAI) is founded to produce BlokSeT low voltage switchboards under license from Schneider Electric.

  5. 2015

    Renewable energy division

TEPCO for Renewable Energy (TRE) commissions a 1 MW peak grid-connected rooftop solar plant delivering approximately 1,797 MWh annually.

  6. Today

National footprint and Vision 2030 alignment

A 36,000 m² Madinah facility and sales offices in Riyadh and Jeddah. KSA operations align with the IKTVA framework and the SEC localization mandate.

The group

Six specialized companies. One vertically integrated capability.

TEPCO Group operates as a federation of specialized subsidiaries, each focused on a specific layer of the electrical manufacturing stack. The panel coming off the Madinah floor is supported, at every stage, by group-level expertise in sheet metal, epoxy insulators, type-testing, and renewable integration.
